doesn't matter if you are salary or hourly, they have to pay you OT UNLESS: 1: your job discription says that you are a programmer of some sort 2: you are in a management position. AND, well, for the state of NY and NYCthe employer is NOT allowed to subsitute pay for days off. So if you worked 8 hours on a saturday, you get paid 1.5 hours. Break down how much you would have made hourly (40) from your salary and there's your OT. Comp day is something optional the company gives as a nice gesture. Making you work OT is something they can sorta do if they compensate you with pay and PAY only. Call your state and city Labor department for more info.
